Bell Set/Xylophone
In percussion class, students learn to play multiple instruments. The first instrument we explore is the bell set, which looks very similar to a xylophone. The bell set is a keyboard instrument with metal keys that are struck with a mallet to produce sound.
Snare Drum
The snare drum is a percussion instrument that produces sharp, short sounds when you strike the head of the drum with a drum stick. Students who choose percussion learn how to play the snare drum and bell set as their primary percussion instruments in the 4th and 5th grades.
